River Derwent

Ladybower Reservoir

Open from early March to late October, wild brown trout in two small lakes, river fishing also available. Bank and boat fishing is allowed. Disabled anglers are most welcome. Tel: 01433 851254

Press Manor Fisheries, Wingerworth near Darwin Forest

Three stream fed Victorian reservoirs covering over 12 acres, in beautiful surroundings set on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Yeaveley Estate, just south of Ashbourne

The one and a half acre lake has been described as perhaps the finest small dry-fly lake in Derbyshire. In summer the lake abounds with natural fly life and the evening rises are often spectacular. Ilam Carp Pond, near Ashbourne

Another fishery close to Sandybrook Country Park, Ilam Carp Pond provides excellent carp fishing. Limited day tickets can be purchased by phoning 01335 350500.

Tittesworth Reservoir, near Leek

Hidden away in a valley below The Roaches, this secluded reservoir provides bank and boat fishing for rainbow trout. Convenient for guests staying at Sandybrook Country park. Season February to end of September. Tel: 01538 300389

River Wye

Famous for its brown, rainbow trout and grayling, fly fishing is permitted on day tickets available from the Peacock at Rowsley (01629 733518) or Monsal Dale on 01269 640159.
