Darwin Forest Country Park

Hoseasons 'Best lodge park in Britain' 2009, providing self-catering holiday accommodation in the Derbyshire Peak District - convenient for Matlock, Bakewell and Chatsworth House.

Darwin Forest is set in mature woodland with superb facilities to help you experience a great holiday, with the freedom to do as much or as little as you like...!

The award winning Evolution Health and Fitness centre has a large swimming pool which is free to use for guests. The well equipped gymnasium, spa, sauna and steam room are available for a small additional charge. Beauty therapy, massage treatments and hairdressing are also available at Evolution.

Other facilities include the Foresters Inn for a relaxing drink or meal, tennis, soft play, orienteering, adventure playground, mini-golf and amusement arcade. Get close to nature by strolling around the woodland walks or renting one of our mountain bikes. You may rent a DVD from the Woodland Store or surf the internet with free wi-fi access at two hot spots. A launderette is also provided for your convenience.

A massive new play centre is due to open in March 2010.  'Little Monkeys' will provide a multi-level indoor play arena for our younger guests.

We take our responsibilities towards environmental management and conservation seriously at Darwin Forest and as a result have won the coveted David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award for the last twelve years.
